Tips on Technique- Part 10

Hold Me!
How you hold the handle makes all the difference in dermaplaning safety and treatment results. Are you holding it correctly?
Holding your dermaplaning tool like a pencil results in several problems. See if you can identify them:
The length of the blade is not on the skin – just the end 1/3. Resulting in uneven exfoliation and potential for scratches on the skin.
The practitioners hand is in the way making it difficult to get proper positioning,
The blade is not at a 45 degree angle.
Holding your handle correctly resolves all of these problems. See the difference?
The length of the blade is on the skin making for an easier, quicker service with consistent exfoliation and less risk of injury,
The practitioners hand is out of the way making it easier to position the blade,
The blade is at the correct 45 degree angle.
