Dermaplane Certification Course, hands-on training

You're Not the Only One Who's Nervous About This

Every esthetician who walks into a DermaplanePro classroom is thinking the same thing: what if I cut someone. That fear doesn't mean you're not cut out for this service. It means no one has stood next to you yet, watched your hand, and corrected your blade angle before it turned into a habit.

That's the entire reason Phase 2 exists. Not a video. Not a peach. A certified instructor, in the room with you, until dermaplaning stops feeling like a risk and starts feeling like the service you book with confidence.

The Two-Tiered Certification Program

The Only Certification Built on Two Phases, Not One Video

Most dermaplaning certifications end at a video and a downloadable certificate. Ours doesn't, because a video can't watch your hand.

Why DermaplanePro

The Only Company Built Entirely Around This One Treatment

Since 2009, DermaplanePro hasn't sold dermaplaning as a feature of a bigger skincare line. It's the entire company.

01

Purpose-Built, Not Adapted

Every blade and treatment product we make was engineered for dermaplaning specifically, not repurposed from general clinical supply. That's why they stay sharp for the whole treatment. One blade, one treatment, every time.

02

Mandatory Hands-On Training

Every other certification in this category can be completed entirely online. Ours can't. The hands-on component is where technique errors get caught and confidence becomes real, not theoretical.

03

Product Freedom, Not Lock-In

We don't require you to use our skincare line to stay certified. Use whatever back bar works for your business. If you choose ours, it's because the results speak for themselves.

Estheticians Who Walked In Nervous and Walked Out Certified

"As a new cosmetologist that had never dermaplaned before, I was very nervous. She created such a comforting environment in which to learn, that I felt totally at ease. She took the time to answer every question, and gave an excellent demonstration before I worked on my fellow classmate."

— Shanon Dyess, Hue Salon

"I am so impressed with this product and the training! The trainers were GREAT! They were patient, smart, and driven to give us great results. They gave me the confidence to go home and practice without fear. I have already done a handful of treatments and have a great result."

— Lana Aviles, Esthetically By Lana

"Class was amazing! I really enjoyed it and will highly recommend it to any esthetician that asks about it. If school was as good as this class I would feel more prepared for the real world as a new solo esthetician."

— Christin Morris, Airbrushed Beauties, Maryland

"DermaplanePro has CHANGED my business. I've probably done over 30 at this point. My clients are obsessed! I tell everyone about it, it's the best!"

— Klaudia S., Esthetician, Charleston SC

"Without my trainer today, I am pretty sure I could not ever be able to start, keep going and most importantly DID finish my dermaplaning skill on real skin, my partner today with much much more confidence. I also now, definitely, put all my trust in your company."

— Nu Anh Thu Phan, Esthetician, Boston/Maryland area

Questions

Before You Enroll

An online course gives you information. It doesn't put someone next to you, watching your hand, correcting your blade angle before a habit sets in. Our Two-Tiered Certification requires live, supervised hands-on training because that's where technique actually gets built. We regularly work with estheticians who came to us already certified elsewhere and left with a completely different level of confidence in their technique.

That's what most of our best students say before they take the course. Technique lives in muscle memory, and muscle memory locks in whatever you've been doing, correct or not. We regularly see experienced estheticians discover their face mapping pattern, blade angle, or pass count has been off the entire time, and walk out completing the same service in half the time, with better results.

Cheaper blades are cheaper because they weren't built for this treatment. They drag, they dull mid-service, and they push you toward more passes to get the same result, which means more time in the chair and more discomfort for your client. DermaplanePro blades are engineered specifically for dermaplaning, so they stay sharp for the full treatment. One blade, one treatment, every time.

Scope of practice for dermaplaning varies by state and changes over time. Before you enroll, confirm with your state licensing board and your insurance liability carrier that dermaplaning falls within your scope of practice and is covered. We can tell you exactly what we teach. Only your board and your insurer can tell you what you're covered to do.

Certification is issued once you've completed both phases and demonstrated the skills covered in class, including safe blade handling, skin analysis, and full-face procedure proficiency, evaluated live by your instructor. If something isn't clicking, your instructor works with you until it does. That's the entire point of hands-on training.

Certification classes are nonrefundable.

Class Sizes Are Capped at 5, on Purpose

You don't build real confidence with a blade in a room of 30. Every DermaplanePro classroom keeps hands-on time real, which means seats are limited.
